01 — Challenge

A fintech that looked like a bank

Orbit Pay moves money for small exporters in six currencies, yet its website read like a legacy bank: stock photos of handshakes, dense rate tables and a logo nobody remembered. Sales calls opened with prospects asking whether the company was a startup or a subsidiary. Behind the scenes, the site was a custom build that only one contractor understood, so every new market page meant a developer ticket and a three to four week wait. With six market launches planned for the same year, marketing could not afford to queue behind engineering for every headline, rate change and compliance note. The brand also had to work in five languages and pass review by regulators in each market before a single page went live.

02 — Approach

A system marketing can run

We started with the name and the orbit mark, then built a compact identity around them: one typeface, a strict type scale, a monochrome base and a single signal colour for money in motion. From there we designed the site as a library of twelve reusable sections rather than a set of pages, each documented with what it is for and what it must never contain. We built it in Framer so the marketing team could edit everything directly, with CMS fields for local rates, licences and compliance copy. Two workshops and a written playbook handed the system over before launch day. Every section was tested with long German and Portuguese copy before sign-off, so no headline breaks when a market goes live.

03 — Result

Six markets, one team

Demo requests rose 2.4 times in the first quarter after launch, and the largest paint on mobile sits at 0.9 seconds, even on pages with live rate tables. Orbit Pay’s marketing team launched all six market pages themselves, each in under a week, without a single developer ticket. Sales now reports that prospects arrive having already read the pricing page, which shortens first calls. The identity has since moved onto the product, the invoices and the trade-show stand, and the team has added four new sections to the library using the rules we wrote together. Page builds that used to take a month now take an afternoon, and legal reviews a page in the same tool marketing uses to write it.
