Who we are

Etch Studio is a design and engineering studio based at Rua das Flores 28, Lisbon, Portugal, working with product teams since 2016. For the personal data described here, Etch Studio is the data controller.

This policy covers etch.studio and any project enquiry you send us by form, email or phone. It does not cover the products we build for clients; each of those has its own policy.

What we collect

When you contact us, we collect your name, email address, company, budget range, timeline and whatever you write in your message.

When you browse the site, we collect anonymous usage data: pages viewed, referring site, device type and approximate country. We do not collect payment details through this site, and we never ask for sensitive data such as health information.

How we use it

We use your enquiry to reply, to scope and quote a project, and to keep a record of our conversation. Our legal basis is your consent and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries.

We use anonymous usage data to see which pages are read and to fix what breaks. We never sell your data or use it for advertising. Enquiry data is kept for up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted.

Cookies

The site sets one essential cookie to remember your consent choice. With your permission, we also use privacy-friendly analytics that does not track you across other websites and does not build a profile of you.

You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing cookies in your browser. The site keeps working without analytics cookies.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you, and you can object to or restrict how we use it. We reply within 30 days and never charge for a request.

If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).
