Agreeing to these terms
These terms apply to your use of etch.studio and to any early conversation with Etch Studio, a design and engineering studio based at Rua das Flores 28, Lisbon, Portugal. By using the site you agree to them.
Paid project work is governed by a separate written agreement. If that agreement and these terms disagree, the signed agreement wins.
Using this site
You may browse the site, share its pages and contact us through it. Please do not scrape it at scale, probe it for security holes, or send us anything unlawful or harmful.
We may change, pause or remove parts of the site at any time without notice. We try to keep it accurate, but we do not promise that every page is complete or free of errors.
Proposals and engagements
A proposal from us is an estimate of scope, time and cost, valid for 30 days from the date we send it. Work begins when both sides have signed the agreement and any deposit has been paid.
Changes to scope are agreed in writing before we do the work. Invoices are due within 14 days unless the agreement says otherwise.
Ownership of the work
On final payment, you own the deliverables we made for you under the agreement. Until then, we keep ownership and grant you a licence to review them.
We keep the right to reuse our general tools, code libraries and methods, and to show the finished work in our portfolio unless you ask us in writing not to.
Liability
We take care over our work, but the site and any early material we share are provided as they are. To the extent the law allows, Etch Studio is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from their use.
Our total liability under any engagement is limited to the fees you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, and the courts of Lisbon have jurisdiction over any dispute.
Questions about these terms are welcome at hello@etch.studio. We update this page when the terms change and show the date of the latest version at the top.
